Job Description
Leadership and Strategy:
Lead and manage the supply chain team to ensure effective operations.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support hospital goals and objectives.
Collaborate with senior management to align supply chain activities with overall hospital operations.
Provide mentorship and training to supply chain staff.
Procurement and Sourcing:
Oversee the procurement of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and other resources.
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Ensure that the hospital complies with all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards in procurement.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
Ensure proper inventory control and management of medical and non-medical supplies.
Oversee storage and warehousing, ensuring supplies are stored safely and organized.
Implement systems to track inventory levels and minimize waste or shortages.
Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and stock availability.
Logistics and Distribution:
Manage the distribution and transportation of supplies within the hospital.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of supplies to various hospital units.
Develop and optimize supply chain workflows to reduce delays and improve efficiency.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency and budget adherence.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or patient care.
Monitor and report on supply chain financial performance to hospital leadership.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
Implement and monitor policies related to supply chain management, including tracking and reporting procedures.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that all supplies meet regulatory and safety standards.
Technology and Systems:
Oversee the implementation and management of supply chain management software and other technology solutions.
Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify inefficiencies, and forecast future needs.
Ensure the use of automation and technology to streamline operations and improve decision-making.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial departments to understand supply needs and requirements.
Communicate supply chain issues, opportunities, and solutions to senior management.
Serve as the main point of contact for supply chain-related concerns across the hospital.

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
