Security Operations Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols.Ensure the safety of hospital premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.Oversee the daily operations of security personnel, including guards, surveillance, and patrol teams.Ensure effective access control, monitoring, and reporting systems are in place.Coordinate with hospital departments to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.To ensure enforcement of policies introduced for safety of staff /vendors / VIP / patients / visitors etc.Team Leadership: Supervise and manage a team of security officers and other personnel.Organise & provide training, mentorship, and guidance to security staff.Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous professional development.Develop and execute emergency response drills for different security threats (fire, evacuation, active shooter, etc.)Surveillance and Monitoring: Ensure that security cameras and monitoring systems are operational at all times.Conduct regular inspections and audits of security equipment, including alarms, locks, and CCTV systems.Review footage and reports for any security breaches or incidents and take appropriate action.Risk Management & Safety:Identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities in hospital operations and recommend mitigation strategies.Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify and eliminate hazards.Collaborate with hospital staff to develop emergency response plans for a range of scenarios (natural disasters, active shooter, etc.).Incident Response & Investigation: Respond promptly to security incidents, breaches, and alarms.Investigate incidents such as theft, violence, and vandalism, ensuring accurate documentation.Coordinate with law enforcement and other authorities when necessary.Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to hospital security.Stay updated on security best practices, trends, and laws applicable to healthcare facilities.Prepare reports and documentation as required by hospital management, regulatory bodies, or insurance purposes.Collaboration & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the security team and hospital management, staff, and external law enforcement.Liaison with police / fire department and other government officials.Work closely with department heads to address specific security needs and concerns.Coordinate and communicate effectively during emergencies, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and action plans are followed.Budgeting and Resource Management: Prepare and manage the security department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.Monitor and order necessary security supplies and equipment, including uniforms, communication devices, and safety tools.Negotiations with vendor’s management for security.Continuous Improvement: Stay informed of emerging security technologies, trends, and methodologies to continuously enhance the security program.Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements based on feedback and lessons learned.Prepare SOP for security & Fire department
