Fire Prevention and Risk Management: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fire prevention strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the hospital environment.Identify potential fire hazards or safety risks and work with relevant departments to mitigate those risks.Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure fire safety measures are being adhered to and that fire hazards are identified and eliminated.Ensure that all fire safety systems, such as smoke detectors, sprinklers, alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting, are functioning properly and undergo routine testing.Emergency Preparedness and Response: Develop, implement, and review the hospital's fire emergency response plan, ensuring it is up-to-date and effective.Preparation of Fire related Policies & Emergency Procedures & Evacuation plansCoordinate emergency response drills and exercises, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and disaster recovery simulations, ensuring all staff members are trained and prepared.Manage the hospital’s fire alarm system and ensure proper functioning during emergencies.Oversee the evacuation procedures, including the safe evacuation of patients, staff, and visitors in the event of a fire or emergency.Creation of First Response Team and emergency Response team for “Emergency Preparedness”.Reporting to Chairman regarding any major hazards created (if any) in hospitalReporting to Chairman regarding if anyone(including employees /patients/attendants) is denying to obey the fire and life safety standards / Fire Safety Policies of the Hospital.Ensures that Welding shall not be carried out in any part of the hospital without “Hot Work Permit.”Zero tolerance towards the combustible unwanted material.Ensures that proper documentation is maintained for the entire Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm SystemTeam Leadership and Staff Training: Supervise and manage the fire and safety team, ensuring adequate staffing and training for all roles.Provide ongoing training to hospital staff on fire safety practices, including fire extinguisher use, evacuation procedures, and emergency response.Organize and conduct fire safety drills and simulation exercises to ensure staff are prepared for real-life situations.Ensure that all new staff members receive appropriate fire safety and emergency response training during their orientation.Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).Keep up-to-date with changes in fire safety laws, building codes, and healthcare-specific regulations.Prepare for and participate in audits and inspections by regulatory bodies and fire departments.Work closely with hospital leadership to ensure that the facility meets all required fire safety and emergency preparedness standards.Responsible for seeking/renewal of NOC from Uttar Pradesh Fire Service.Responsible for all the Audits regarding the “Fire Safety” to be carried out in the hospitalFire Safety Equipment and Systems Management: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and regular inspection of fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and emergency exits.Ensure fire suppression systems are properly maintained and up to code.Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fire safety equipment and systems.Ensure that fire safety equipment is readily accessible, in good working order, and properly stocked (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits).Incident Response and Investigation: Act as the primary point of contact for fire-related incidents and emergencies within the hospital.Lead investigations into fire-related incidents or safety breaches, including analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.Maintain detailed reports of all fire drills, incidents, and safety inspections.Coordinate with local fire departments, emergency medical services (EMS), and law enforcement when needed for incident response.Budget and Resource Management: Develop and manage the Fire & Safety department budget, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.Ensure that adequate funding is available for fire safety training, equipment, and ongoing safety improvements.Monitor spending on fire safety equipment, maintenance, and supplies, ensuring cost-efficient purchasing and inventory management.Fire Safety Awareness and Education: Promote fire safety awareness throughout the hospital by creating and distributing educational materials, hosting workshops, and ensuring fire safety signage is visible in key areas.Encourage a culture of safety and awareness, ensuring all hospital staff take personal responsibility for fire prevention and safety.Address any concerns or queries from staff or patients regarding fire safety practices.Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing, facilities management, and environmental services, to ensure fire safety is integrated into hospital operations.Communicate effectively with hospital leadership, staff, and external stakeholders on fire safety matters, including incident reports, safety initiatives, and regulatory updates.Ensure clear and timely communication during emergencies, providing direction
