Renal Care
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH): Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia is a common condition in aging men. It involves the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland, leading to urinary symptoms such as increased frequency, urgency, weak urine flow, and difficulty emptying the bladder. BPH is a result of hormonal changes and typically not a life-threatening condition. Treatment options range from watchful waiting to medication and, in some cases, surgery to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.
Kidney Stone/Calculus: Kidney stones, also known as renal calculi, are solid mineral deposits that form in the kidneys or urinary tract. They can be incredibly painful when they move through the urinary system, causing severe lower back or abdominal pain, and sometimes blood in the urine. Treatment may involve pain management, increased fluid intake, and in some cases, medical procedures or surgery to remove or break down the stones.
