Indore, March 12, 2024: It is said in Indian scriptures, 'Yatra Naryastu Pujyante Ramante Tatra Devatah', meaning where women are revered, there reside the gods. Keeping this in mind, Medanta Super Specialty Hospital in Indore organized a special event this time. On Thursday, March 7, 2024, on the occasion of International Women's Day, Medanta Hospital organized the "Saree Walk." In this unique event, women participated wearing sarees. The saree walk started at 6:30 am from the premises of Medanta Hospital, proceeded to LIG Square, and then back to the hospital premises. All participants were given medals and e-certificates for completing the walk. After the walk, a special program was organized where women enjoyed Zumba dance followed by delicious Indori cuisine. Additionally, all participants were given surprise gifts at the end of the program.
*Dr. Sandeep Shrivastava, Medical Director and Director of Cardiac Sciences at Medanta Super Specialty Hospital, said*, "Women are the creators of society, nation, and universe. It is not enough to organize events for women just for one day or even the whole year. The Medanta family is always grateful to women. This year, to make International Women's Day even more special, Medanta Super Specialty Hospital organized the Saree Walk. The aim of this program was to honor women and inspire them to continue contributing to the nation's development. This program was a magnificent opportunity for women to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to connect with each other, creating a memorable experience."
